Another update dropped by, this time for MyMedia (v0.903). This is an application that allows you to download music and video files to your iphone or ipod touch. The update contains a few new interesting features I would like to specify. First of all the developer added language compatibility. The languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian and Korean are now added to the standard English option. The second enhancement is that the developer made the download cache list more easy to use. Info button, trashbin option, etc. » MyMedia 0.903

Vic Gundotra, Google’s vice president of engineering stated that:

When Apple ships its iPhone 2.0 update–and the accompanying App Store for distributing third-party software for the phone–you won’t have to wait too long for native iPhone apps built by Google programmers. “We expect to have applications at Day One.”

When we think of the app’s currently included on the iPhone and iPod touch, there’s no doubt that most of them are already Google powered.

MyMedia is a application developed by StudioPSK. The application is an extension to Safari.
The app gives you the possibility to save all media you watch within Safari.
On first hearing about this app, i thought it was going to be another MXtube clone, but this one isn’t.

My Media is an application born on the idea of MxTube and developed by Percuss to retrieve audio and video files played on Safari and Youtube. The application will record at the time of the first visit and allows then to save these files in your iPhone.

MxTube is one of my favorite apps, for a full review check this page.

The app let’s you save all youtube video’s that are available for viewing on the iPhone or iPod Touch.Â

However it has 1 limitation, it can only get the videos that are already converted to play on the iPhone. MxTubes developer knew of this problem and he started with the creation of MxTube 2.Â

MxTube 2 will let you chose to search youtube mobile (the current video’s we see), Youtube.com (all video’s) and on video id.Â

The app will encode the video’s that are not iPhone compatible in to the iPhone native format.Â

Yesterday evening i was playing around with Customize v2.0. I was installing and applying theme’s, sound sets, icon’s and so on.. Then i went into the preferences options of SMB in Customize and i disabled SMB .. My iPhone asked to be rebooted and tata i had the SPOD (spinning wheel of death).
No matter what i tried, i just couldn’t get back into my springboard.. After searching my iPhone filesystem for a solution, i finally gave up and restored it.
This time i used iLiberty+ and i must say that this unlocking app is really the best that i’ve used so far.
