Many new little pieces of information about the new iPad arrived today. First of all Apple analyst Gene Munster claims Apple will sell more than one million iPads on launch day. He bases his calculations on the iPhone sales. Before the iPhone 4 went on sale, previous generations iPhone sold more than 50 million units all together. And then the iPhone 4 sold more than 1 million on launch day. The iPad 1 en 2 has already sold more than 55 million units, so it’s in line of expectations the new iPad will sell more than 1 million units on launch day.
The Verge got their hands on The new iPad at the Apple Event Wednesday. “We have just had our first in-person experience with Apples latest and greatest slate… and it feels good“. Apple held an iPad event where they announced The new iPad, iOS 5.1, Apple TV and iPhoto. But that is not all they announced. Apple also confirmed that they would continue selling the iPad 2 and that they decreased the prices of the 16GB Wi-Fi-only iPad 2 to $399 and the Wi-Fi+3G model to $529.
