Apple just released a press release that confirms that the new iPad will launch in 12 additional countries this Friday, April 20. The press release also confirmed that Apple will launch the new iPad in 9 more international counties on April 27.

In addition to South Korea, the new iPad also will be available beginning on Friday, April 20 in Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela. Beginning on Friday, April 27, the new iPad will be available in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

A Japanese retailer Rakuten is selling a new kind of iPad “NoteBook Case” for 5,980 yen “roughly $75”, which makes your iPad look like a MacBook Pro “clone”. The case comes with a built-in battery that allows you to charge the iPad while in use, a USB port, mini USB port, and keyboard with Bluetooth support. At this point the case is only available via the Japanese website Rakuten, but it is possible it will arrive on their United States-based Buy.com in the near future.
