On October 19th Apple will be holding an ceremony to remember Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs. Apple Stores will be closing for one hour from 1 till 2 EST (10 till 11 PST) in memory of Steve Jobs. Apple Store employees will use that one hour to view a live webcast of the Cupertino-based celebration.

Everybody knows Jobs famous uniform style, black turtlenecks with jeans. But how did Steve came up with the idea of wearing these kind of cloths all the time? In Walter Isaacsons upcoming biography of Jobs, Steve is revealing the history behind the wardrobe choice. “On a trip to Japan in the early 1980s, Jobs asked Sonys chairman Akio Morita why everyone in the companys factories wore uniforms. He told Jobs that after the war, no one had any clothes, and companies like Sony had to give their workers something to wear each day. Discovery has ordered a documentary on the life of the late Steve Jobs, with the Mythbusters duo Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman on board to host, which can be seen on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. The one hour special has reportedly lined up a number of interviews with early figures in Jobs life.
