MuscleNerd, one of iPhone DevTeam’s members, confirmed that they finished testing the new tool and are preparing to release it. We can probably expect the new Pwnage Tool this weekend. It will jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 3GS.

Apple released a 4th update to it’s iPhone SDK.
Some of the changes are:
-The Simulator now supports OPENGL ES, nice for all 3d rendering (games and such)
-New firmware version 5A258f (no news of new features yet)
-Code signing enforced. All developed apps require to be signed to be able to run on the iPhone.

The beta version of WinPwn has finally been released.

Be carefull as this is still beta !!
The option to flash firmware 2.0 is disabled for now, but CMW has assured us that the official release, due later this week, will support the beta.
I’ll try to write a review tonight, but if you need any help, just ping me and i’ll see what i can do on short notice.
update: I decided to postpone the review as the app is still not fully usable, i know most of you are eager to start using the beta-firmware, but the truth is that WinPwn doesn’t support Fw 2.0 for now.
As Soon as CMW releases the full version i’ll write a full review about it.

This news just got in.
Apple seeded a new version of the iPhone SDK today, and yes like they predicted.. They locked the iPhones with the beta firmware v 5A225c.
One little side-note, apple has created a PSOD (pink screen of death) with the message This device is expired. Please install a newer version of the OS” (sound like a BSOD huh ;) )
Some developers have informed us, that you can still downgrade your iPhone to official firmwares to get it up and running again.

Our friends from the Iphone-dev team, have made a new statement today.
The release of the Windows Pwnage Tool is still set to be released later this weekend.
I can’t wait for the windows version, as i no longer have a Mac :( (please donate so i can save for one :) )
They have released a screenshot in the meantime.
