Fortune reports that a lineup has already formed for the new iPhone 5 at the flagship Fifth Ave Apple Store. These people are already lining for business purposes. The first two in line are Hazem Sayed, 54, and his marketing manager Sage, 31, who started the line on Thursday at 8 a.m. to promote their social media startup called Vibe. Third and fourth in line are Jessica Mellow, 27, and Keenen Thompson, 22 you can folow Mellow’s experience this week at iphonewhatever.com. After Tim Cook’s usual talk about how Apple is doing, Phil Schiller took the stage to introduce the next generation iPhone. And as expected it’s called iPhone 5 and it looks just like the many leaked images we’ve seen the last couple of weeks. It’s 7.6 mm thick. That’s a thickness reduction of 18%. It’s also 20% lighter at just 112 grams. The iPhone 5 has a 4 inch retina display. This is the thinnest and lightest iPhone yet.

got their hands on one of the “iPhone 5” batteries and posted new photos showing the battery in the iPhone’s rear shell and next to an iPhone 4S battery for comparison.
