The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple has started “mass production of a new tablet computer smaller than the current iPad”.

According to a source of the Japanese blog Macotakara, Foxconn in Brazil has begun production on the forthcoming “iPad mini”. “According to my source, iPad mini was started production in Brazilian factory.
