Earlier we already wrote that Apple had Launched the iTunes store in 56 new countries including Russia, Turkey and India. Multiple websites report that Apple will release the iPhone 5 in India and at least 8 other countries on November 2, including: Croatia, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Mexico Bulgaria, Malta, Romania, and Thailand. It turns out that the iPhone is not that big in every country as most people think. The iPhone market share in India was only 1.2 percent of all handset sales during the second quarter of this year, half the level a year earlier. Of course the reason for this low market share is the low averageĀ  income of the 1.24 billion people living in India.

Meanwhile, cheap Android handsets have taken India by storm and now enjoy a commanding 50+ percent market share. After Japanese Apple has confirmed Italian, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish as new languages to be supported by Siri in 2012. But what about Hindi? Well today we get a look at Siri speaking Hindi through a proxy server via @kunalkaul123. Vodafone’s had some nice news this morning.
They’ve announced that they signed a deal Apple to sell the iPhone in ten markets, including Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy (so much for Telecom Italia), India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. Expect the phone later this year
