Kotaku had a chance to talk with Simon Jeffery regarding the iPhone. Some of the things we learned via the webcast is that SEGA is currently working on quite some ‘exiting’ things that they will release on the iPhone. Simon Jeffery also discusses the big success that Super Monkey Ball has.

Tuaw released another roundup of upcoming apps for the Apple App Store. Not much news here. Some small tools and games but nothing really ground-breaking. I think we will have some big suprises when the App Store launches the day after tommorrow. Untill then enjoy these little previews.

Chain 3 is a upcoming AppStore game. When you first play it, it really resembles Bejeweled and the current iPhone games Trism and iZoo. As always, information is scarse to find but we did manage to find a video of the game. Prices haven’t been announced and the released date isn’t yet known also. But i’ll keep you informed when they do pop-up in the AppStore.

CyberSaurus got a new update today. Its now on version 1.12. The biggest change compared to previous versions is the added accelerometer support. Personally i think the game plays better now.

Apple has posted the winners of the Apple Design Awards 2008. The yearly awards Apple gives to recognize technical excellence, innovation and outstanding achievment in software development. The cool thing for this year are the inclusions of iPhone applications.

CyberSaurus is a new 3D game developed by DarXun. The game is a mix between a 3D shooter and a adventure game. It has 11 full 3D levels and does look mighty fine. the game offers 6 planets (11 3D maps), 3D audio engine, full 3D animations, 3D engine with very cool light effects and intelligent AI. This game only makes me wonder what we are going to see in the AppStore.
