Apple has just launched the newest version of their “12 Days of Christmas” holiday app for European and Canadian users, which will give iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad owners free content each day from December 26 to January 8. “You and your friends can download a fantastic selection of songs, music videos, apps, books and TV episodes for free. iPhone developers received an e-mail from Apple, informing them about Apple’s decision to allow In-App Purchasing for free apps now. The feature was previously  restricted to paid applications only. This is a smart move, because developers no longer have to necessarily make a free version AND a paid version. They can now present their app as free, but with limited options. If you want the full app, you can buy the entire app via In-App Purchasing.
