Foxconn will raise the salaries of 420.000 employees in its factories by 20 percent. People say they raise the salary to prevent more suicides by their employees, but the company claims that they already planned to raise the salary a long time ago and that its not a response at the suicides. The average salary of employees working at Foxconn is around $131 a month and will now be raised with $26. CEO Terry Guo also said that they will relocate about 80.000 to western parts of China so that they can be closer to their families.
