G4Games points to a photo posted to Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo that allegedly shows display assemblies from the iPhone 5S. In the photo above you see the iPhone 5s display photographed on a production line. MacRumors explains “The photo is relatively small, but the resolution is good enough that the redesigned flex cable connectors on the iPhone 5S part can be seen. iPod Touch Update To Bring New Colors, GPS & Camera Improvements?
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a last-minute research report showing “his expectations” for Apple’s iPod Touch update which will be introduced today. Kuo said that he expects the new model to offer new colors , 4-inch display and thinner body, GPS, camera improvements, cross-device compatibility, A5 Chip and a smaller dock connector. iFixit received an “iPad 3 display”, and they took a good hard look at it, and nailed down some specifics: the display resolution (as rumored) looks to be 2048×1536, and there are subtle differences in the style of connector and placement of the retaining clips. Whether or not you consider this a true “retina display,” it is hard to argue that the pixel-density of the “iPad 3” beats the heck out of everything else on the market. Spy Photos of Samsung iPad 3 Retina Display Production
Some intriguing photos has been discovered on a Chinese forum of an apparent iPad Retina Display production line. “The forum posting contains some blurry spy shots of what it is calling the iPad 3 2048 x 1536 display, but perhaps more interestingly, has a photo of packed up Retina Displays.” The forum post also claims these Retina Displays are made by Samsung and the plant is located in the Wujiang City, Radiant Opto-Electronics LCM sector. LG Announces 55-Inch OLED HDTV, Working On Apple HDTV
LG already makes iPod Touch and iPhone Retina Displays, some iPad displays and there has been reports that claimed LG is providing the television behind the Apple HDTV. Now LG showed an amazing new 55-inch OLED HDTV at the Consumer Electronic show. They have a 4 mm bezel -that is half the thickness of an iPhone 4S- and weighs in at a paltry 16.5-pounds. In addition, things like “1,000 times faster than LED/LCD displays” and “infinite contrast ratio” makes this sound like one of the best displays of 2012.
