The new iPhone application “Place Clock” by ocoomo lets you create both location and time alarms in one single app that looks and feels just like iPhone´s own standard clock application. Place Clock uses the iPhone’s latest multitasking abilities to make it 100% background compatible and use no more power then allowing location alarms being set 24-7 without draining the phones battery. Place Clock has been made in true Apple design spirit making it the first location alarm app that anyone can use. » The iPhone Clock Gets Location Alarms

We told you about the fact that Single-use alarms don’t work at all on januari 1st and 2nd, because of a bug in iOS 4.0.2 and 4.1. Apple responded on this issue with the next message “We’re aware of an issue related to non-repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2. Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.”. This is not the first time the iOS alarm had some trouble, so hopefully Apple will do something about it this time. » Apple Aware Of iPhone Alarm Issue

One of the great things about the iPhone is that it manages your calendars. You can bring together all your calendars, MobileMe, Gmail, iCal and Entourage alike. One of the less than stellar aspects of the iPhone is the notifications of said calendars. Darth Jobs has chosen not to allow a snooze function on the iPhone. You have to set up multiple reminders in your calendar to gain that functionality. While that is an option, it’s very un-Apple like in terms of usability. Thankfully, he allows others to bridge that gap (at a price). Maybe he is smarter than I give him credit for. He is, after all, the CEO of two multi-billion dollar companies, where I am just some poor schlep who critiques the hard work of others. So what do I know? I’ll tell you. Give in to the brilliance of Master Jobs and spend the 99 cents to get Calendar Alarm. It’s the full featured calendar application Apple should have delivered. » App Review: Calendar Alarm

Beep Me for iPhone is a nifty little app that is created for the iPhone with iOS4. It’s a simple reminder application that uses the power of iOS4’s multitasking and local notifications. It allows you to set a reminder for the next 24 hours with an easy to use timer and Beep Me will notify you when time has come. When the time has come it will let you know thanks to some sound effect and a message. Normally this app will cost $0,99 but for the first 5 lucky readers I have posted 5 promo codes after the break. » Beep Me For iPhone + Promo Codes
