CNet and Businessinsider have published a new print ad that Samsung will be running in national newspapers today. “And so Samsung is greeting the arrival of the iPhone 5 with an ad that will run tomorrow in certain national and local newspapers (how modern). It is not a flattering ad. It suggests that the iPhone 5 isn’t even good enough to be, well, a copy of the Galaxy S3.” In this ad, called “It doesn’t take a genius.” you can see an comparison of software and hardware features between the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III which ends with “The Next Big Thing Is Already Here”. Verizon created their own iPad 2 commercial, about the iPads ability to connect to Verizons 3G networks. “iPad 2 Connected to Americas largest and most reliable network. Verizon.” The commercial can be seen above.
AT&T created a commercial to respond to commercial Verizon released 2 days ago. The message Verizon is trying to say is “you can finally place calls on your iPhone”, AT&T responded with the message, “Only AT&T’s network lets your iPhone talk and surf at the same time.”. In this Network spot, a man is working late in his office when he receives a call from his wife. When she asks about the plans for their anniversary that night, a frantic look crosses his face as he realizes he has forgotten the big night. Mid-call, he is able to pull up the browser of his iPhone and search for restaurants. Playing it cool, he talks up the night’s plans while making the reservations from his phone. AT&T has made an Ad to convince people that they have the fastest network compared to the network of Verizon. At&T claims they have the fastest 3G speeds. Verizon mainly focused on things the iPhone lacked, Microsoft focuses on the lacks of the App Store. AT&T has made an Ad to convince people that they have the fastest network compared to the network of Verizon. At&T claims they have the fastest 3G speeds. To me the Ad is not convincing at all and it would’ve been better if AT&T spent their money on some new 3G towers.
