The reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, released a new research note last week highlighting his expectations for changes to Apple’s notebook lineup at next week’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). In his note he writes¬† that the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will see a slightly slimmer design, as well as an improved camera. He also writes that Apple will not be upgrading the non-Retina MacBook Pro, instead simply continuing to sell the current Ivy Bridge-based models as it seeks to phase out the non-Retina line. Yesterday we wrote that Apple launched a new “stripped-down” fifth-generation iPod Touch, replacing the fourth-generation iPod touch. Now Apple’s retail stores began carrying the device today. Australian Ben Pasternak was one of the first to purchase the new iPod touch, and he has posted a brief video overview of it. Apple has just made a quiet update to its iPod touch lineup, launching a new 16 GB fifth-generation model without a rear camera for $229. The new iPod touch is only available with a black front and silver back and replaces the fourth-generation iPod touch.
