On the forums of MacRumors, readers have reported that Apple and AT&T started shipping their iPhone 3GS orders. Apple started shipping iPhones to Shenzhen, China and will be delivered on Friday June 19th. AT&T changed their customer’s order status to “in progress”. Tracking numbers are also available now, but it doesn’t appear UPS has picked up the packages.
Launch OS 3.0 Tomorrow

Apple and AT&T have been making preparations for the launch of iPhone firmware 3.0. Here is a compilation of the changes and preparations that have been noted:
AppleInsider posted an article about a study from independent market analysis company Forrester Research. According to the study, iPhone users are more than twice as likely to access the Internet via their iPhone compared with other mobile devices. They are also richer, younger and more productive.
WWDC 2009 Week Overview

On June 8th 2009 the WWDC started with a keynote delivered by Phil Schiller. On June 12th WWDC ended. The keynote wasn’t that spectacular, since it didn’t really deliver new products. And the launch of OS 3.0 was expected long before the event even started. Nothing really new on the horizon. The 13″ MacBook was added to the pro line, Snow Leopard was also introduced (also to no-ones surprise), and ofcourse the introduction of the new iPhone. But even that product dind’t look refreshing. Still the WWDC delivered some footage that amazed us.
As we posted earlier, the new iPhone 3GS has much more horse power than the previous two iPhone models, when it comes to graphics. The graphics are powered by the PowerVR SGX graphics processor. A video demo running on a pre-production Pandora dev board shows the GPU in action.

AT&T has 24 to 48 hours to answer the rising tide of complaints from iPhone owners who are furious over its pricing policy for the new iPhone 3G S, a crisis communications expert said today.
