Saurik, the developer of Cydia, Cycorder, and many others, has successfully ported the old MobileFinder from 1.1.4 and earlier, to the 2.0+ firmwares. The MobileFinder in the App Store can be modified to browse the file system, but is crippled since it does not run with root privileges and can do no more than explore. Today i received a mail from Eric our friend who created iSlsk, and boy he does have some really awesome stuff for us. His latest project is called PwnPlayer and it will be a full replacement for the standard iPhone and iPod Touch music player. The reason why he created this player is cause firmware 2.X doesn’t allow him anymore to import the downloaded music tracks from iSlsk. Here’s the full story and a video:

Our older readers will remember the application Band from Moocow Music. It also was one of the applications Apple showed on the WWDC.
