The iPad 2′s includes a A5 processor, which is a speedy dual-core chip, that provide nine times better gaming performance than the “iPhone 4” A4 chip does. Apple is also working on adding a A5 chip to the next gen iPhone (iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S), but 9to5mac is reporting they already found photos of the iPhone 4 equipped with the A5 chip-processor. Howard Stringer told Walt Mossberg yesterday that their camera image sensor facility in Sendai was affected by the recent tsunami/quake. He said something to the effect of getting image sensors to companies like Apple will be delayed. Quote: “Our best sensor technology is built in one of the (tsunami) affected factories. China Times is reporting that they have production details regarding Apple’s fifth generation iPhone. They say the next gen iPhone is in “trial production” and will start the full production in the third quarter of this year.
