At this point the whole world knows the storie about the guy who lost the iPhone Prototype in a bar which ended up in the hands of Gizmodo. But do we need to blame this guy for leaving this iPhone Prototype in a bar, maybe he got a good Excuse? Anyway Letterman has created a top 10 of excuses the guy had for leaving his Phone. “It didn’t work anyway — it uses AT&T.”
As you all know by now, it looks like Gizmodo has a prototype of the next gen iPhone that belongs to Apple. Now Apple has sent a formal letter to Gizmodo requesting their device back, this proofs it’s a real Apple product. Gizmodo also replied saying they are happy to give it back to its rightful owner. But is this all planned by Apple? Is Steve Jobs trying to mess with our minds by letting us think it’s the real thing? All iPhone and Gadgets sites are all worked up about the “iPhone Found in a Bar in Redwood City”. First Engadget thought it was the real next gen iPhone, later they said it was just a simple Japanese knock-off, and now Gizmodo said they are sure it’s the real thing. They said they already got their hands on the device since one week and disassembled it to find out what it really was. Unfortunately they cant boot the device because Apple remotely killed the phone before they got access to it, Apple also want the prototype back. Earlier today we posted some pictures of the possible iPhone G4/HD, but it turned out to be a Japanese knock-off. Engadget found out after a reader posted another image of the device which is claimed to have been purchased in Japan. A reader of Macrumors also posted some images from a Chinese website WeiPhone , which looks identical to the one we showed you earlier today. Some extra pictures after the break. Engadgetreceived some photos from aguy who “found” this phone in a San Jose bar, inside an iPhone 3G case. But what is it, could it be the iPhone 4G (HD)? Unfortunately all we got right now are these pictures. It apparently has a front facing camera with 80GB of storage and isn’t booting at this point. Maybe it’s a prototype of the next gen iPhone or could it be a Chinese knockoff? Anyway Engadget would like to know more about it but the guy who found it is looking to get cash in exchange for hands on time. What do you guys think. Real or Fake? Macrumors received some photos claiming to be the back cover of the next gen iPhone “4G?”. These photos also show that its a 64 GB model with a more “boxy” look than the current iPhones.
