Niantic Labs “Google Smartphone App Team” released a new multiplayer gaming platform for mobile users that turns your real-world location into a virtual world. The game is called “Ingress” and uses a built-in scatter map technology to add a virtual layer to the real world, it leads you to real statues and landmarks to continue the game. In the game a strange energy has been discovered by European scientists and must be controlled before it controls you. The Wall Street Journal reports that Google is still working on a standalone mapping application for iOS and is moving closer to submitting the app to the App Store. “Google has distributed a test version of its new mapping app that will work on Apple’s iPhones and iPads to some individuals outside the company, said a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Rovio Published Angry Birds Star Wars Gameplay Video Ahead Of Thursday Release

This Thursday Rovio will release Angry Birds Star Wars on iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Mac, PC, Windows Phone and Windows 8. Today Rovio posted the official video that reveals much more in terms of gameplay than their previous “teasers”.
Google updated their Google Search app for iOS with a Siri-like feature. Apple Changed App Store Base Price In European Countries To €0.89

The lowest price on the App Store for many of the European countries was once €0.79, but in at least 15 countries it has been bumped up to €0.89 this evening. In the folowing countries you can no longer get Apps from the App Store for just €0.79: Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Luxembourg, Hungary and Russia. Rovio has issued an update to its Angry Birds Seasons game, adding a Haunted Hogs episode which brings out thirty new Halloween-themed levels and comes with a new Frankenswine character. “BOO!
