Back in October, Apple noted that it had a million apps in its worldwide catalog. New stats from app discovery platforms Appsfire and AppShopper show that U.S. App Store alone also reached one million live apps.

While Apple noted that it had a million apps in its worldwide catalog back in October, this marks the first time that various app platforms have seen the U.S. numbers climb above one million.

Apple has already approved over 1.4 million apps since the launch of the App Store back in 2008. More than half a million are available for Apple’s iPad, and over 900,000 are available for the iPhone. Over $13 billion has been paid to App Store developers.
