Five months after it was initially announced, and after an unplanned delay due to unexpected demand, BlackBerry Messenger is finally launching on iOS. BlackBerry Messenger is just like WhatsApp and iMessage, a chat app that also allows you to send photos and other media files.

To avoid server issues with strong demand, BlackBerry is using a staggered queue system to handle the demand.

  1. Download BBM – the easiest way is to visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser*
  2. Once you install the app, open it, and enter your email address to hold your spot in line
  3. We will email you as soon as you reach the front of the line and can start using BBM

You can download BBM in the App Store for free here.
