Liquipel has introduced an upgraded version of their watersafe nanocoating “Liquipel 2.0” on CES 2013, which it says is up to 100 times more effective as Liquipel 1.0. Liquipel protects electronic devices from water damage by adding a vapor-applied water resistant coating that does not compromise the performance of the device and is able to achieve a water resistance rating of IPX7, which means the device can be submerged in a meter of water for 30 minutes.

Liquipel now also comes with a new warranty, that offers protection from damage due to accidental liquid exposure on Liquipel-treated devices. To get a Liquipel coating on your device head over to their webshop, prices starting at $59.

Liquipel will also open its own retail locations, opening its first store at the West Edmonton Mall in Canada this February.
