Samsung Launches Galaxy S III Mini With Four-Inch Display

Samsung today launched a smaller version of its Galaxy S III handset, called Galaxy S III Mini and comes with a 4-inch screen just like the iPhone 5. In their press release they note “The GALAXY S III mini brings the high performance, intuitive ease-of-use and nature-inspired design of the GALAXY S III to an elegant, compact smartphone with a 4.0-inch screen. It can be an optimal choice for consumers who are looking for more practical smartphones.” The Mini is 121.55mm long, 63mm wide and 9.85 thin, weighing in at 111.5g. This makes it shorter, narrower, thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S III.
This Android™ 4.1 (Jelly Bean) phone does however have less high specs than the Galaxy S III. It comes with an Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 800-by-480 pixels versus a 1,280-by-720 pixel display on the S III and it also downgraded to a dual-core 1GHz processor “S III packs a quad-core Exynos 4 chip”. It also comes with a five-megapixel camera instead of eight-megapixel. It also comes with S Voice, Direct Call and S Beam.
