Just one week after Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote a letter, in which he promised that Apple “will keep working non-stop” until the iOS 6 Maps app meets customers’ standards for quality, users are starting to see improvements. MacRumors reports, it appears to be that a larger set of additions to the 3D content in the Apple Maps app has been added.

One region that was among the first to be noticed was the New York City area, with a number of improvements including new 3D imagery of the Statue of Liberty being seen. (see images above).

Other Map update reports include Honolulu, Hawaii, New York City, London and in the San Fernando Valley in the Los Angeles area. Till now it looks like Apple is focusing on 3D imagery rather than map data such as incorrect locations and missing POI’s, but it shows that Apple is working on improving the new Maps App.
