PrimadeLabs posted the first iPhone 5 benchmark from Geekbench showing an iPhone5,2 device running iOS 6 with a Dual-Core 1.02GHz ARMv7 processor and 1GB of RAM. The total performance score of the “iphone 5,2” model is 1601, while the average score for the iPhone 4S is 629 and the average score for the iPad 3 is 766. A full list of iPod, iPhone and iPad scores can be found here. Apple claimed that the new A6 processor will be twice as fast as the A5 processor or any older iDevice models and a average score of 1601 proves this.

The iPhone 5  score of 1601 also makes the iPhone 5 the fastest phone yet, the Asus Nexus 7 has an average score of 1591 and the Samsung Galaxy S III got a score of 1560.
