October iPhone Media Event to Be Held At Apples Headquarters
John from allthingsd posted something interesting about the upcoming Apple Event. According to his sources “the demonstration — currently scheduled for Tuesday October 4 — will be held at Apples campus in Cupertino, California. Why? Thats not entirely clear. Perhaps the release date was too much of a moving target to risk booking a large space like Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), which has hosted a number of big product unveils in the past.”So why is this unique? Well till now a Apple Event like this has never been held at Cupertino, till now the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco has been typical for their iPad and iPod events.
It is unknown why Apple has chosen its own Town Hall Auditorium for the event, but offers a couple of theories including the possibility of uncertainty in locking down a date preventing Apple from booking an outside venue or a desire to give new CEO Tim Cook a more intimate venue for the first major product introduction under his official watch. Macrumors.
