Airptint is a feature a lot of iOS 4.2 and Mac OS X 10.6.5 users are waiting for, unfortunately it turns out Apple has limited the Airprint function. iOS 4.2 and Mac OS X 10.6.5 will not support AirPrint to Mac and Windows shared printers, instead it is only compatible with the five HP printers with built-in AirPrint support.

Tuaw wrote: “Developers are reporting that references to printing via a Mac or PC have been removed from online documentation, and the downloads that Apple had provided for beta versions of OS X 10.6.5 and iTunes 10.1 — specifically so that developers could test AirPrint from their apps — are no longer available.”
