KT Corporation announced this week that the iPhone has sold more than 1 million units in South Korea, excluding the iPhone 4. It took 9 months to sell and activate 1.02 million iPhones as of Aug. 16 and KT Corporation expect to sell 1.2 million in early October. When the iPhone 3GS was launched in South Korea back in November 2009 it had 65,000 pre-orders to fill, a lot less than the 350,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 4.
