Steve Jobs: Slow iOS 4 Performance On iPhone 3G Will Be Fixed With Software Update
The iOS 4 performance on the iPhone 3G is not good, a lot of iPhone 3G users are complaining about the speed and would like to downgrade to a previous firmware version to get more speed out of their device. Version 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 didn’t fix the speed issues on the iPhone 3G, but Steve Jobs has send a short email to a costumer who expressed his frustration to Steve telling a software update is coming soon.
Costumer:
I’ve waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I’ve read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I’m not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.
Jobs’ response:
Software update coming soon.
Sent from my iPhone
We don’t know what update he is talking about but he most likely referring to iOS 4.1, which probably is coming within the next view weeks.
