AppleInsider reported that they heard from reliable sources to expect multitasking in iPhone OS 4.0. We heard it before but this time AppleInsider is pretty sure. If this is true, we iPhone users finally get something we asked for. Unfortunately iPhone OS 4.0 is still far away from completion and we have to wait till summer.

The iPhone already supports a little bit multitasking with the apps iPod and Email, but that’s all. If you jailbreak your device you can already use multitasking thanks to ProSwitcher or Multifl0w.

Apple claimed they didn’t include multitasking till now because of spyware, key loggers and viruses. At least its not a technical issue.
