firmware3131BigBoss launched a new tweak for the firmware 3.1.2 users. It allows you to virtual update firmware 3.1.2 to firmware 3.1.3. What is the point of this? Well with this update iTunes thinks your are already updated to firmware 3.1.3, this way iTunes wouldn’t ask you anymore to update to firmware 3.1.3.

Still is this a big deal? Well Apple released firmware 3.1.3 to stop people from jailbreaking, so if iTunes thinks you are already updated to the latest firmware version it will stop trying to install firmware 3.1.3 “to prevent people from jailbreaking”.

A other reason to install the virtual firmware 3.1.3 is that you can install all the Apps that requires the latest firmware 3.1.3 version, because it looks like you really have firmware 3.1.3 installed.

You can get Virtual Firmware 3.1.3 via BigBoss, after the installation you need to reboot your device and then it will look like you got firmware 3.1.3.

I know what this says, however, my question is can this be used if you have FW 3.0 or any other FW than 3.1.2?

this messed my iphone up so badly. i had to get a systemversion.plist from someones ipod touch, just to get my iphone working regularly.

@ASCTONY Looks like it is only for FW 3.1.2 users.

Thanks! I see no other use for it, other than to fake out iTunes thinking you have 3.1.3 installed. If you download 3.1.3 apps, they will not run unless you have 3.1.3 installed.
