Dan Woolley calls his iPhone a Life saver, because it helped him survive the earthquake in Haiti. He found himself trapped and injured, when the Haitian earthquake struck. The only thing he could reach was his iPhone. It took 65 hours before he was rescued.
Dan Woolley used the light of his iPhone to take a look at his injuries on his head and leg. After that he used a unknown first-aid medical application, the app told him how to bandage his head to stop the bleeding, he diagnosed his broken foot and created a tourniquet for his leg (he used his cloths for this). He also set the alarm on the iPhone to go off every 20 minutes to keep him awake. After that he also took pictures all around him to see if there was a safer location he could reach. It took 65 hours till he got rescued.
