TomTom announced that the car kit is now officially launched on their own webstore. You can now probably also find the car kit in other webstores. The price is still just below the €100 and does not include the navigation software app for the iPhone.

The car kit can be used in combination with any navigation software. You don’t need to have the TomTom-app. According to TomTom the car kit can be used with all iPhone models. The gps-chip inside the kit enhances the gps-receiver, so you will have a perfect connection all the time.
