It is one of the things many people wish for: watching television on your iPhone or iPod touch. Not things like watching repeats, but watching actual live television. Elgato’s EyeTV seems to be the solution…more or less.

Via a Wi-Fi network the app will make contact with the EyeTV software on your Mac. After that, you can use all functions on your iPhone or iPod touch, including recording programs, plan recordings, watch them and ofcourse watching live television.

It’ll work at home or on the go, but you’ll need a couple of things. First you need a Wi-Fi network. You also need a Mac with EyeTV 3 software and TV tuner. If you can afford another $4,99 for the iPhone app, you’ll finally be able to watch live television.
