After all the different reports about iPhones exploding, Apple started an investigation. The results are in and it seems it’s not the battery that’s causing these problems. It’s the external pressure on the device that caused the explosions.
With 26 million iPhones and 200 million iPods sold to date, Apple claims there are zero confirmed battery overheating incidents for iPhone 3GS and the number of reports of overheating they have investigated are in the single digits.
“The iPhones with broken glass that we have analysed to date show that in all cases the glass cracked due to an external force that was applied to the iPhone.”
What a way of saying that it’s the fault of its users! Thanks Apple, that makes us all feel better.

Yea ok we believe what Apple says just like the iphone 2G hardware cannot support MMS. We all know better about the MMS issue and it has been proven. Once your labelled a liar good luck getting people to believe anything you say.

I also heard this news when I was talking to my fren in UK about Iphone batteries. And he let me know about this and I was quite surprised to find this. Maybe Apple will soon, find out and give a proper explanation of this. or We will live in fear of this happening again.
