It is now possible to download bittorrents on your iPhone. You need a jailbroken iPhone (or iPod Touch) ofcourse and need to follow a few steps. But then you have Torrentula (created by Sunburst) on your iPhone and the ability to download anything you can.
Technama.com explains:
You need the Jiggy Runtime repo first. If you haven’t downloaded and installed Jiggy yet, then you need to do so and you can check out how here. Once you have it installed, just add the source http://itouch.rockt.es/repo.xml to your iPhone Installer.
After you have installed the Jiggy repo, follow the steps below:
Download .torrent files to your device with the HistoryDL.app (recommended) or the Safari Download Plugin into the mobile (or root)/Downloads folder. The program will scan your mobile (or root)/Downloads folder for new torrent files, and will import any valid torrent files regardless of their filename or extension. When a torrent has finished downloading from peers it will be automatically moved to mobile (or root)/Media/Downloads when selected. Note: Torrents continue downloading even when program is closed. A device restart can often activate/fix stubborn torrents.
The application enables you to download torrents from site like Mininova and Demonoid. The app keeps downloading even if it’s closed. So it runs on the background, which is quite handy. The downside of this is that the app just keeps downloading the torrents, so you’ll have to stop the downloads manually.
