tomtom_logoTomTom has send an e-mail with an important message. It seems something is going to be revealed in September the 22nd. It is unclear what it is, but I think this could be the TomTom navigation software application for the iPhone. On the Twitter page Brightsite, the dutch website Bright.nl thinks it is the TomTom carkit. Back at the WWDC in June this year TomTom revealed their application and said it will be available this summer. The 22nd of September is the first day of autumn.

Below is the text they send in an e-mail:

Dear Journalist,

“TomTom will reveal the future of navigation to you” on Tuesday, the 22nd of September (from 10.30 am until 2 pm)… Save the date!

More information to follow soon!

Warm regards,

The TomTom PR team!

Is navigating with the iPhone the future of navigation? Hmmm, this could be something else. Maybe a totally new way to navigate. Or an navigation software app that uses augmented reality. No matter what, TomTom is already to late to come with their iPhone application. Many other navigation software apps are in the App Store. Hopefully TomTom has the lowest price of them all, but I don’t count on it.
