Google released a beta version of their service Google Sync for the iPhone which allows you to synchronize the contacts and calendar with your Google account.
Google Sync uses the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol to synchronize the data on your phone with your Google Account and supports synchronization with up to 5 Calendars and the contacts in your My Contacts group.
When setting up a new Exchange ActiveSync account on your iPhone, all existing Contacts and Calendar events will be removed from your phone. So make sure to take a back up of all important data before you set up Google Sync.

it kinda sucks!
Multiple calendar? Yes, but not the extra calendars you have! Only yours.
Contacts? Yes, but with no photos…
