We all know the game Apple has been playing with NullRiver’s NetShare App Store app. It has been pulled from the App Store, then reinserted and now it’s removed again. This little problem is not only affecting NetSize. Over the weekend Apple has pulled the populare free movie App

Unlike NetShare (a tethering app), which is a application that’s not allowed by AT&T, The Box Office app doesn’t really violate any partnering rules. So Apple What’s going on here? Did Apple find any bug’s or security flaws? Even the developer doesn’t know why. Here’s their answer.

Apple pulled the app yesterday without giving me any notification that they were doing it, or what their justification was for removing it.

I’ve tried to contact them about the issue, but it’s been a complete dead end. If anyone has a useful contact number for Apple, please let me know.

I’m in regular contact with all my data providers, and none of them have had an issue with my app. Indeed, the response was the exact opposite. They like my app and have even asked if i would do custom application work for them in the future. Furthermore, all the data I use is licensed by the owners as ‘free for non commercial use’. i.e. precisely what Box Office is.

So I’m stuck here not knowing what has happened, or what i can do about it.

this is precisely why i utterly HATE apple. they make no justifications and on a whim they can do whatever they want to developers. their so called “open platform” is such a sham its rediculus. so many rules and laws people must obey. theyre essentially nazis

i despise steve jobs with my entire soul, and hope he gets run over by his own prius.

The reason I am hearing it has been pulled is because the app is changing its name to “Now PLaying” instead of BoxOffice.

OMFG! Apple pulls two apps (one that I’m sure AT&T threw a fit about) out of 1,000+ and they are the worst company ever!!!

Chill out little dude. It hasn’t even been a month since the app store has been launched. I’m sure they are not ignoring this guy and it’s more like that they are getting thousands of apps sent to them to be put in this app store and and can’t respond within the hour.

People are so quick to jump on the “hate apple” wagon but just end up looking stupid. Mainly because they have weak reasons for it. And if they hate apple so much, you can’t help but wonder why they bought an iPhone. (There’s always the chance they don’t own an iPhone and are even more lame for seeking out iPhone sites and posting on them. lol)
