This morning Apple release Beta 5 version of the iPhone SDK.
According to first reports, there are no new features.
The update probably only brings some bugfixes for the developers.
This iPhone SDK includes a set of tools, compilers, frameworks, and documentation for creating iPhone OS applications.

These tools include the Xcode IDE, and the Instruments analysis tool, among many others.
With this software you can develop applications that run on iPhone and iPod touch using the included iPhone Simulator.

The beta 5 also includes a new beta firmware. The version is 2.0 Beta 5 (5a274d).
Any new features will be posted in a very short time.

Updates :

Music will now sync even purchased ones.
Videos still not so much.
There is now a setting that says push and it lets u choose when u want your phone to sync data.
There is a setting that says location services and u can turn it on or off.
In maps they changed some of the icons.
