Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple and his place will be taken by Tim Cook, Apple posted in a Press Release. “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apples CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.” Steve Jobs wrote in his resign letter. But he will not be completely out of this picture because Steve also wrote “I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. It is unsurprising to see that the company stocks have closely mirrored Jobs health woes and periods spent away from the company, but regardless, the trend is still up and up. With the new Apple University initiative being undertaken at the company, Jobs is making it clear that he wants his vision to continue to guide the company long after he is gone.
