Apple has issued a press release about the record-breaking iPhone 5 pre-orders of over two million units in the first 24 hours of availability, which is more than double the previous record of one million held by iPhone 4S. The folks behind the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, now dubbed “jOBS,” which stars Ashton Kutcher as the late CEO, released a presser this evening to announce the production’s June start date for filming. The press says the “jOBS” biopic will shoot in original Apple garage and childhood home. Read the full press release after the break.

Earlier AT&T already announced that they received 200.000 iPhone 4S pre-orders within the first 12 hours. Today Apple announced that pre-orders of its iPhone 4S have topped one million pre-orders within 24 hours, surpassing the previous single day pre-order record of 600,000 held by iPhone 4. Apple announced in a press release that this Friday, July 23 the iPad will finally be released in 9 more countries including The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore. There is nothing known about the price yet or when the next ship starts, but Apple said they will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date. One thing is for sure, the iPad will be available in more countries are promised before the end of the year.
