Apple has filed a new pair of filings for US patents. The fillings will make users’ lives easier by letting them pair wireless devices just by bringing them together as well as filling out missing address book data simply by making a request through e-mail. Personally i think these fillings are already in use by the Nike+ and IPod system. Credit for the rest of the article goes to AppleInsider.

Ok it’s official. Apple representatves confirmed that the Nike+ integration only works with the new iPod Toch 2G. The iPhone and the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch 1st Gen will not receive support for Nike+ as of yet. It has also been confirmed by Apple that the connector dongle will still not work on the iPhone and/or first gen iPod Touch.

Nike+ has never been compatible with the iPhone untill this moment. Our friends from the blog iphone.fr have got their hands on some preliminary screenshots of the Nike+ iPhone application. Not much is known about the workings of the app, will it support the current dongle for the iPod Nano or will you have to buy a new module?
