iTunes U is a new free educational podcast section in the iTunes Store. John from allthingsd posted something interesting about the upcoming Apple Event. According to his sources “the demonstration — currently scheduled for Tuesday October 4 — will be held at Apples campus in Cupertino, California. Why? Thats not entirely clear. Yesterday Amazon announced an invitation-only special event to be held in New York city on September 28, a Wednesday. No details beyond that, but it is most likely that they will announce the low-cost Amazon tablet. It is a 7-inch tablet which will cost around $250 running Android. The Japanese website kodawarisan, posted the date of the 2011 Media Event from Apple on their website. According to their source the Media Event will take place on September 7th Western Time, which is September 8th in Japan. Last 3 Media Event also took place in September, so it sounds logical that it will be the same for this year. Apple is holding a media event on October 20th, which they call “Back To The Mac”. Looking at the logo above “with the lion behind the Apple” they probably going to talk about OS X. If we take a look at the title of the event it looks like they maybe will show us a new Mac? Maybe the new MacBook Air? Well we will all find out on October 20th.

What!?!… You missed the keynote? Don’t worry, apple already published a video stream of 87 minutes on the Apple website for everybody who missed the live stream. In the keynote Steve talked about iTunes 10 and its new feature called Ping, three new iPods including the iPod Touch, the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle, he also talked about the new Apple TV and released some statistics/numbers.
