Apple presented the new iPod Touch today duraping Steve’s ‘let’s rock’ keynote. What’s different about it? Well first of all, it doesn’t include GPS :(, but it does has a whole lot of new features. To start, the new iPod Touch is much thinner and it does look curved much like the iPhone 3G. The iPod Touch now has volume controls just like the iPhone.

The long awaited Spore Origins for the iPhone and iPod are now, finally, available. This game will cost you 10$ and is a miniature version of Spore which was released yesterday. Spore Origins has wriggled its way out to the iTunes store for the iPod. The game is a slimmed-down version of the early microbial stages in the upcoming PC game — in the main game, you’ll be able to take your little microbes up through the evolutionary ladder all the way up to space travel, but in the iPod game, you just guide a little cellular organism around in the primordial muck, eating what’s smaller than you and running away from what’s bigger.

The Ipod touch update normally costs you 9.99$. However by checking the communication that goes from your PC to the Apple site, you can quickly discover a link (file) in which all iPod firmware files are showed in clear text.

Following the previous rumors about a new iPod Nano and new Ipod Touch with GPS, there’s a new rumor being reported on the bigger sites like MacRumors and Gizmodo. This rumor announces a Apple event on the 9th of September. This hasn’t been confirmed by Apple but as there are more and more pictures surfacing about the new iPod Nano, this could be true.
