Apple journalist Jim Dalrymple has posted a cryptic message suggesting that Apple will hold two separate media events this fall for the new iPhone and iPad mini. Every year Apple gives away a little present to everyone buying a Mac or iPad. This year Apple will give a $100 cheque when buying a Mac and a $50 cheque for buying an iPad. The interesting news however is the fact that this “Back to School” program ends on September 21. That date happens to be the same date as the rumored ‘iPhone 5’ launch. Can’t be a coincidence. Right?

Engadget published a photo of something they claim to be legit iPad parts, the photo first popped up on Chinese social media site Sina Weibo. Engadget: “There’s little other activity on the account to back up the source, and the omission of a camera hole might irk some, but if these were early parts, then that could be something that is added later. For now, we’re left to fill in the gaps with out imagination”

Going against his claim that a 7-inch tablet wouldn’t work out and that Apple wouldn’t go into the 7-inch market, Steve Jobs seemed receptive to the thought of a 7-inch iPad according to an email with Eddy Cue. The Verge reports: “Wow. Forstall is shown a 2011 email from Eddy Cue, in which Cue forwarded an article that a journalist wrote about dumping the iPad after using a Galaxy Tab. Cue writes “Having used a Samsung Galaxy [Tab], i tend to agree with many of the comments below… I believe there will be a 7-inch market and we should do one. Bloomberg reported that a smaller iPad is on its way. The report noted that the new model will have a screen that’s 7 inches to 8 inches diagonally, and will be announced in October.
