Apple has launched 4 new TV ads to introduce the iPhone 5. They are focused on the 4-inch Retina display, the new EarPod headphones and the new Panorama feature in iOS 6. The ads are voiced by Jeff Daniels, currently starring as Will McAvoy on HBO’s Newsroom.

Today Apple has released iOS 6 to the public and is available for the third-generation iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and fourth-generation iPod touch. Apple has seeded the final version (Gold Master) of iOS 6 to developers this is the last test before Apple will release iOS 6 to customers as a free download on September 19th. After Tim Cook’s usual talk about how Apple is doing, Phil Schiller took the stage to introduce the next generation iPhone. And as expected it’s called iPhone 5 and it looks just like the many leaked images we’ve seen the last couple of weeks. It’s 7.6 mm thick. That’s a thickness reduction of 18%. It’s also 20% lighter at just 112 grams. The iPhone 5 has a 4 inch retina display. This is the thinnest and lightest iPhone yet.

iOS 6 beta 4 has been released today and it looks like that Apple has removed the YouTube application that existed on iOS since the first version in 2007.
