The developers are getting a little bit sick of their work being pirated so they decided to step up and built some new protection in their apps. Zen Bound, the new game is one of the first that has a protection.

The iPhone-Dev team just put a new message on their blog. They announced that firmware 2.2 is still unlockable for the iPhone 2G and it still let’s you jailbreak your iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch. The official word is:The second beta of firmware version 2.2 has been out for a few days.  It looks like Apple still doesn’t have a fix for devices already prone to the pwnage jailbreak and unlock.

Only 2 days after the release of Fring, there is already a hack available that allows you to make free calls via the 3G network. Fring has been allowed to the App Store under condition that you can just use it to make phone calls via WiFi networks. But on the Fring forum you can already find the instructions on how to perform the hack.

The iPhone-Dev team just posted a update regarding iTunes 8.0 and the new firmware. As they said before, it will take Apple a new hardware design to fully fix the Pwning process, iTunes 8.0 does however have some countermeasures. Read their full explenation after the break.

CMW, the developer of WinPwn announced a new version of his very popular pwnage tool for windows. WinPwn 2.5 promises to have a much sleeker graphical ui and some bug fixes. The official word from CMW is: So as the days roll over i thought it would be a good idea to post a few screen shots every day until the next release of WinPwn 2.5 (hopefully very soon). Notoir iPhone hacker/expert Erica Sadun’s updated twitter with the msg ‘ip light’. Light was one of the flashlight applications in the App Store. It has been removed from App Store due to Erica hacking the brightness of the iPhone to higher level then allowed by Apple.
