There have been several reports about bugs in the iPhone firmware and today there’s another one. This time it’s about discovering a password. After a long wait we finally got Cut Copy Paste with the iPhone OS 3.0. We also got a feature people have been waiting for for a very long time as well: shake to undo. This feature can be used to find out passwords.
There’s a bug found in the OS 3.0 software. It was found on the iPod Touch 2gen of someone with the YouTube account “Popplenrookie”. When you delete an email in your POP mail account and also delete it in the trash map, you can still find it by using the search option on the iPod Touch. It seems that POP mail accounts are not the only ones having this issue. IMAP has the same problem. Even if you delete the mail directly from the server, it still shows up on the search function of the iPod.
In regards to email, Gizmodo is reporting that the iPhone won’t fetch email while in sleep mode. A reader has confirmed that Apple has this as a “known problem,” and hopefully a fix is on the way. For those worried about battery life, this problem may not be bad.

The time has finally come. iPhone firmware version 2.1 has finally been released and features many bug fixes. Although, it does not contain advanced GPS features or Copy and Paste, which was one of the two most wanted items in this update. I also haven’t heard of the push notification server being opened in this firmware update. » iPhone 2.1 finally released
